Disney's latest live action isn't an other inadequate remake of its classic animations but a stylish origin story of one of comic history's most iconic villian - Cruella De Vil (pronounced Devil).

This prequel to the 1996 film '101 Dalmatians' tells the story of Estella, an aspiring fashion designer, who after the death of her mother ends up as an orphan on the streets of London. She befriends Jasper and Horace and the three make ends meet by pick-pocketing and stealing.
A decade later when Estella accidentally designs a stunning fashion piece, she lands a job under the sharp-eyed Baroness, a popular narcissist designer.

While trying to make a career in the world of fashion, Estella discovers some personal secrets which leads her to embrace her wicked alter ego, which as she describes in her own words as
"born brilliant, born bad, and a little bit mad"
, and transform into the atrocious Cruella.
The movie starring two Oscar winning Emma's hits its mark and does not disappoint.. Although, the first few minutes might seem a bit plain, the plot develops nicely and the pace increases.

Both Emma's play their respective roles brilliantly. Thompson nails her part as vicious Disney villain and Stone perfectly portrays her role as sassy-talented young women.
Although the presence of two big stars overshadows the performance of the other artists, characters like Horace and Artie manage to steal the limelight is a few scenes and shine in it.
The film contains a lot of Easter eggs and is also filled with various references to the previous 'Dalmatian' movies.
"Cruella" is a stylish movie with a interesting upbeat 70's soundtrack. Although, it fails to top Disney's "Maleficent"[2014], it still is a very entertaining and enjoyable film with some iconic scenes and dialouges.
