“Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” is the second installment to the best-selling Harry Potter series and a terrific sequel to “the Philosopher’s stone”.
This book is a bit longer that than the first and contains 18 chapters.

The novel, begins with Harry once again in Number 4 Privet Drive with the dreadful Dudley’s , when on his 12th birthday , the sudden appearance of a mystical creature activates a series of amusing events.
There are puzzling events happening in Hogwarts and a fresh set of torments arise for Harry. Mysterious writings begin to appear on the school’s walls and the “Heir of Slytherin” is set to have entered Hogwarts to kill all Muggle-borns. Who is it? Is it Draco? Or is it Hagrid? Or is it as almost everyone suspects – Mr. Harry Potter himself.?
All the elements that made “Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone” a huge hit can be found in abundance in this book as well. It is a fantasy novel packed with action, humour and mystery.
The story is fueled by J.K. Rowling’s rich imagination and the novel is filled with suspense.
The wizarding world introduces us to many mystical creatures and we also get to meet quiet a few new characters.
A few dark secrets from the past are revealed and we also get to learn a little bit about the history of the four Hogwarts houses .The theme of discrimination and intolerance to people who different can be found throughout the book. The importance of choices and the significance of friendship, loyalty and bravery in all showcased throughout the book.
The "Chamber of Secrets” is slightly slow-paced, Although, the “Chamber of Secrets” is my least favourite book in the series, there were multiple times when the book built excitement and created anticipation.
The book contains many humorous and enjoyable scenes and overall it is really fun to read.
